This weekend our "In the Woods" team will have available a substantial amount of green firewood and some interesting greenwood offcuts.
The sale of greenwood is a collection of timber removed following the recent storm’s and this winters’ woodland restoration work.
The timber sold will raise funds towards the ongoing restoration of your Ancient woodland and to improve access to the woodland.
This will be available from the old sawmill site, after 11 o’clock, accessible by vehicle from sawmill car park and on foot from any direction.
We will have a wood burning stove on site to gather around and warm drinks will be available on the day.
Come and see what’s going on this year and meet our team of woodland workers who will be on hand to answer your questions and demonstrate how to make interesting artworks from the freshly cut beautiful wood.
This will be the first of several woodland community days we’re planning this year!
All the wood is green and should not be burnt this year. If you would like to purchase discounted firewood for next year, here’s your opportunity. Just store it until next winter and it’ll be great. If you've forgotten to get a valentines gift this’ll be a perfect opportunity to make amends as we’ll have custom carved hearts available on the day.
