You will learn a variety of mindfulness practices within a small group, such as mindful walking, mindfulness with sounds, body scan, mindful movement and mindfulness in everyday life.
Mindfulness is a fancy name for just being in the present; being aware of what is taking place around you and within you.
Don't worry, as it's not difficult! You don't need expensive equipment, special clothes or gadgets. All you have to do is be yourself and be prepared to just be 'in the moment!'
Other sessions will be held in a building in Scarborough which has a lovely garden to enjoy and there'll be a chance for a tea break!
Mindfulness is an act of calming the mind, which is at the heart of mindfulness.You can be in charge of your own thoughts by acknowledging them and letting go of them, giving you the chance to reduce stress and worry.
The course starts Saturday September 2nd 2023, 10.30am to 12.30 noon, taking place on Saturdays through September and October 2023 (no session on 23rd September 2023).
