This Saturday saw the conclusion of our second set of Family Explorer sessions in the woods.
Rich and Hazel worked with up to 18 children, aged between 5 and 15, plus their families as they came out to explore, create some amazing art and learn all about life in the woods. We even had a 7 week old baby for one week too!
From the humble beginnings at Throxenby Mere, where we were when Spring was in season and the children were slightly apprehensive, we have seen their confidence grow week by week and the final session showed just how far they had come by their eagerness to explore Raincliffe Gate and scavenge to make some excellent woodland art.
All participants said they had thoroughly enjoyed themselves and, like the first group, didn't want the sessions to end.
We will be putting a special celebratory session together for both groups to see what they have learnt, what they can remember and most of all to come together and have some continued fun in the woods.
Make sure you check out our events section so you can have your own woodland adventure…
