A great morning in the woods

The recent warm weather has made work in the Woods even more enjoyable, and a recent Saturday morning volunteer session was no exception. We checked all the trees planted last year (around 350 of them) above Raincliffe Gate carpark, and it was pleasing to see how many were doing well, we replaced around 40 of them with some some new hazels and cleaned out all the tubes.

Already this year it is amazing how much new growth is starting to show in the woods, the next couple of months will see Spring well and truly sprung so why not come and join us every other Saturday for a spot of volunteering, we’re a friendly bunch and the settting is beautiful.
